Meet the village of Mtambo, Malawi.  Located within the district of Lilongwe, and just a 15 minute drive from a Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Last year, a man came to the village, and promised to return and drill a borehole for them – IF they collected $500.  

The community gathered the cash (A LOT of money for them), gave it to the man…only to never see him again.  He stole the money and never returned. 

The entire village, including the health clinic, was gathering their water from the local river and/or hand-dug holes prior to receiving their new borehole.

We were all too happy to right that wrong!

This borehole came at zero cost to the community. May this be the first of many happy endings 😁
